Elmo Lakka

I'm a professional hurdler from Finland 🇫🇮 I'm a 12-time National Champion and I'm few times European Championships Finalist and I have also competed in World Championships in Doha last year. My records are 60mH 7.65s and 110m 13.49s. My next big goal is Tokyo 2021 Olympics.

What inspires you to give the best of yourself?

I have always been interested in how the human body works and how you can learn new things. That’s why I also ended up studying physical education and coaching at University of Jyväskylä. In the future I want to be able to encourage children and grown-ups to find their way to exercise and enjoy the joy of sports!

I have started playing golf this summer. Golf gives me new kinds of experiences and challenges. Playing golf is a new way to relax and I'm enjoying it! I'm not yet hitting bombs like DeChambeau but it's super cool to see how fast you can do some progress if you really work for it.
